A lifelong interest in art and nature brought me to landscape and nature photography. I was born in the San Joaquin Valley to dairy ranchers, where the Sierra Nevada Range rises above the haze. A move to the coast at the age of five reshaped my life. There, the redwood forest towers tall between fog and mist. The drama of the forest’s shifting light, habitat, and wild inhabitants remain inspirational.
I earned a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design, including classical studies in drawing, sculpture, illustration, film photography, and print making. Design and Composition are central to how I frame nature and the landscape.

When you purchase one of my photos, you receive a hand printed image on archival paper. I print with fade resistant pigment ink, which has a print longevity rating of up to 200 years. Each print is crafted from a Raw file and processed digitally, but in a manner much like prints from a negative, with layers of modifications to color, contrast and detail, until the final vision is achieved.
Each of my images represents years of training and countless hours in the field. My photographs are copyrighted and may not be downloaded from this Site, copied, or used in any way without permission, including purchased prints.
